It's been a while since my last blog update just due to being a busy period. The work at Youthzone, Blackburn has been great, working alongside some really enthusiastic staff and young people. The climbing wall proved really popular during the SOFT openings so has given 'food for thought' with future ideas to the NICAS award for the young people and opening a climbing club. A really positive start.
Mountainexploits Pendle witch walks are all on the calendar now with alot of interest, also much interest in our Lancashire dairy walks, especially getting to taste the various lancashire cheeses.
I've also been covering a number of Yorkshire 3 Peaks events which you'll have seen from the previous blogs. This is a great event if you are considering a challenge event this summer for charity or just as a group.
As well as this I'm managing to fit in swim training for my swim in June which I am doing for the Combat Stress charity. If you feel like donating to this please see my Justgiving page, thanks very much to all those who have donated so far.

Yorkshire 3 Peaks
Over the past weekend I have been doing some freelance work carrying out some leading of teams on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. A great walk but not for the faint hearted as there is approximately 24 miles of walking involved with around 1600m of ascent and descent. The teams comprised of staff and associated personnel from Wilkinson's and had a great day out along with raising alot of money for their chosen charity of Age Uk. We had a selection of weather on each day with some lovely views of the Yorkshire Dales in glorious sunshine to just about being able to see the person in front and not much else due to the snow coming down. Well done to all those involved and good luck with the rest of the fundraising.
