Let's off road

The week ended with the D of E group finishing their 3 days in the village of Bampton Grange.  A small pretty village not far from Penrith.  On a very hot Saturday they completed their final navigational legs on their own whilst myself and the leaders moved the vehicles to the finish point.  We ended up on a 'minor' road coming over the hills with a comment of 'I never expected that' as we came into a farmyard and a concentrated map study proved definately we were in the right place and the 100 year farm complex we were going through had obviously ownly just been built!  Lots of smiles all round and an enjoyable journey made an excellent finish to a very enjoyable 3 days.  Good luck to the group as they attempt their silver expedition assessment later this year.
