Back Home

It was a sad time at 2300hrs on Tuesday night when the team and I parted company after a great expedition.  Thanks to all the effort of the team it made for a great time. Air Asia pulled out all the stops to ensure the 13 hours flew by (there's a joke in there), well not really if you include the fact there wasn't enough entertainment systems to go round and you get charged for a meal even if you return it due to the fact that it is cold and hasn't been cooked.  But hey ho, we were all glad to arrive at Stanstead and meet loved ones who were waiting for us.  Thanks guys and good luck for the future.
After a couple of days to do washing and re-org kit, last night I was working for Maximumadventure.com on Scafell helping out with a group completing the UK 3 Peaks for a charity organisation.  Due to the amount of rainfall during the day the river crossing of lingmell beck was a matter of risking wading so we decided with a fit and capable team we took a bearing up onto Lingmell and then came over to the Col before heading to the summit and descended down Lingmell to the Green.  The cloud base cleared around 700m on the descent as per the weather forecast so it gave the team a chance to get some perspective on their achievement before heading off to Snowdon.
