Well after another jaunt up Scafell on Saturday night for a 3 peaks challenge, today I was coming back down to Lancashire which provided a chance to pop in Pete Bland sports to have a look for a pair of trail shoes. You know those shoes when you don't want a full on fell shoe but definately not one of those, dare I say it, road shoes, yuk. Anyway with the mega helpful staff I eventually settled for a pair of adidas adizero xt3 . I've never used adidas before but the fit felt good, and they look like they will do the job so I thought I'd give them a try. I'll post an update after a couple of runs out.
So to plug another cracking running shop Pete Blands sports really is, all the staff are really helpful and I've never had a problem with having a choice of shoes to try on and I count myself as a mainstream foot size. The shop has a very modern new layout with more stock to browse, and they have a van which appears at some of the fell races.
This week I'm up to some bits and pieces and then on Saturday morning I am taking a moorland cycle skills ride over Darwen Moors, still have 2 places left if anyone is interested.
