Pendle Hill has long been the source of many a tale of witches, this year is the 400th anniversary of the Pendle witch trial which occurred in 1612. Today Dave and I had a walk out in order to recce a route for a walk to put together to introduce people to walking in some fantastic countryside, learn a little of what happened over 400 years ago whilst walking over the actual land where the tales of deed allegedly took place. The aura of the weather enhanced our day out with some dark clouds rolling in over Pendle Hill and we had some strong snow and hail showers. Needless to say the day wouldn't be complete without some tea stops, well we did have to check the tea shops were suitable, honest. A great day out and one we are sure you will enjoy.
