Bring on summer, what a week this has been. The new Youthzone is coming on great in Blackburn and the climbing wall has proved really popular. After Mondays 'Alan Shearer' day when the legend himself visited, Dave and I managed to get out for a few hours on the crag at Cadshaw in some great afternoon sun. Mr Shearer was great with the young people and they all got chance to have their photograph taken and he signed some shirts.
I've now began the process to get involved with the Community interpreter scheme in Lancashire. This is a voluntary organisation working alongside the NHS to help those who require some translating work who don't speak English. So that means some study sessions to learn some new russian vocabulary associated with this type of work, interesting stuff.
It's meant to be getting colder over the weekend, let's hope it doesn't last. Enjoy your weekend.
