I've been working out in West Lakes the past few days and whilst out and about came across some very distinguished orchids. A really hard bunch to identify. After some research I came to the conclusion this is a hybrid of a northern marsh orchid and a common spotted orchid but happy to be corrected. These flowers are protected in the UK but appear to be flourishing well in West Cumbria.
