Newlands

Yesterday saw a good finish to a week in the Lakes by joining some friends and going down the ghyll at Newlands.  Even though there wasn't too much water flowing the main places held some fun for everyone to get a good soaking including the daunting 'washing machine' at the end which everyone had a go at and throughly enjoyed.  Today I was in Keswick after eyeing a bargain at Needlesports and with the help of the really helpful staff purchased a Macpac Ascent sack.
Next week I am working on a school residential and along with Stuart running the climbing sessions at Cadshaw.  Here's hoping for drier weather again!
