The approach to Winter

Okay, so hopefully it's going to be a good winter, the snow is starting to fall in Scotland and the possibility the slopes will be open soon.  Certainly some of the pictures coming from Cairngorm and the Nevis range show that only a bit more snow is required, so it's fingers crossed.
In my #getfitforwinter, the fell running is going well, this morning been out for a blast over the moors and it was great to run on some frozen stuff, rather than the bog that it has been up there.  Got the fellrunner magazine through the door which always inspires.  Running Bear in Alderley Edge are doing some more great winter running clothing products.  I've had some gear from there and always highly rate their own brand products, solid and hard wearing.
I've been working freelance for Bolton Council Outdoors dept and also doing some private work at the climbing wall in Roefield Leisure Centre which has been nice after a cold run on the moors.  We have also been running some night navigation courses which have proven useful to those attending.
Take care especially if out on the fells when it's freezing and take the correct equipment.  Here's to a good winter.
